Candy

This is my boyfriend, Bill, looking at a painting sketch I did of him after I finished the candy piece. It's half done.
Here is the show I went to on Thursday at the Derek Eller Gallery in Chelsea with my friend Michelle. It was a great piece all sort of a homage to "To Sir With Love." Who doesn't like "To Sir With Love." I think the pillows are for people to sit and enjoy the video portion of the artwork.
The second piece is a Robert Longo exhibition of drawings at the Aldrich Museum. I went there on Sunday with Amy and Norma. We took a bus from PS 1. Felt like an old fashioned school field trip.

On Sunday I went and took my piece down. I worked on a drawing in my kitchen/home studio on Sunday.

The Pill Project
The Pill Project, site specific work, mixed media on paper, 2013
The “Pill
Project” is an artwork in
support of reproductive rights. Each abstract circle is a “pill”
symbolizing contraception. People are asked to buy a pill to enact their
rights to safe and affordable contraception. By engaging with the artwork
and buying a pill the audience is actively showing their support for
reproductive freedom. All proceeds go to Planned
Parenthood. (Pills only sold from shows.)
